Hartington Community Appreciation Celebration

Join the Hartington Chamber for a community appreciation celebration on Tuesday, June 15th at Felber Park. Food will start at 5:30 with the 43rd Army Band concert at 6:30pm.  The concert is FREE and open to the public. Bring your own chairs/blankets. The Hartington Chamber of Commerce will also have food and fun for the kids, so bring the whole family for this summer event! Habitat Front Yard BBQ

Join Habitat for Humanity for the 5th Annual Front Yard BBQ on Thursday, June 17th! Come hungry and enjoy some BBQ! Bid on silent auction packages donated by local businesses, decorate studs, and play family-friendly games. Friday Night Feature Movie

​Bring your family and friends to enjoy a free movie night at Restore Church in Yankton Friday, June 18th at 7pm. Enjoy a concession stand with popcorn & candy to give you all a real MOVIE THEATER experience!
This Friday’s showing will be Spider-man: Into The Spider-verse. It is one of the top movies from 2018, with a fresh take on one of the worlds favorite superheroes. In this animated film this hero meets different versions of himself from multiple universes. He needs to learn to use his new powers while also learning to team up with his counterparts to save all of their worlds!

Pass It On Baseball Clinic    

Riverfront Broadcasting is bringing back the FREE baseball and softball clinic! This clinic is held in support of Mount Marty University and the Yankton Parks and Recreation department. It is for kids ages 8-18 and will be located at Riverside park on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 9am to Noon.

This event will feature Les Norman along with the coaches and players from Mount Marty University! They will focus on hitting, infield play, outfield play, pitching, catching, and base running.

June Bragging Rights

Join Bragging Rights On Thursday Nights on June 24th! Support the community and non profits with your love of cars. Bring your classic car, motorcycle, or anything you have. Each month, a different non profit will be serving a meal for a free will donation. Bring your lawn chairs and come out for food, friends, music while supporting supporting the community!

Kids in the Park – Koo Koo Kanga Roo

Ditch the Saturday morning cartoons and join the Yankton Parks & Recreation for live entertainment in Fantle Memorial Park on July 3rd at 9:30am. Kids in the Park is a new, two hour event that the whole family will enjoy!
Koo Koo Kanga Roo will be bringing the dance party to the Kids in the Park stage on July 3rd. This Minneapolis duo is best known for their high-energy music, infectious positivity, and interactive live show. Back To School Clothing Drive

Join the United Way on Yankton for the next Community Clothing Drive, July 15th from 2-6pm. Accepting clean, gently used YOUTH clothing! The most needing items include: youth shoes, youth pants, youth shirts. Also accepting men’s & women’s plus size clothing, socks & new undergarments. Look for the designated collection trailer. Crofton’s Dam Race

RUN. BIKE. KAYAK 

Runners, bikers and kayakers have discovered a new kind of race along the shores of Lewis & Clark Lake in Northeast Nebraska. Choose your adventure between three events: a sprint triathlon with kayaking instead of swimming, a half marathon or 12-mile bike race. Participants must be 14 years or older. Each entry will receive a t-shirt, bib, and meal at the conclusion of the race. Extra t-shirts and meals can be ordered online.T-shirts are $15 each and meals are $10 each.

START – Weigand Recreation Area beach area at Lewis & Clark Rec Area
FINISH – CHANGE IN ROUTE THIS YEAR ONLY. Finish at Weigand Recreation Area.
AWARDS CELEBRATION & BBQ – Crofton Haymarket, Main Street Crofton
