Mount Marty Football fell to Midland in their Lancer Days matchup on Saturday, 31-18, at Crane-Youngworth Field.

Rodney Broadnax led the Lancer receiving core with 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns on five catches. Moshe Richmond added six catches for 60 yards.

The Lancers are back home on Saturday, hosting the Dordt Defenders at Crane-Youngworth Field.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Soccer were swept by Morningside on Saturday in their GPAC doubleheader.

The women dropped game one 3-1 with Rhyli Grim scoring the lone Lancer goal. The Lancer men were shutout by the Mustangs 4-0.

The Lancers are on the road against Doane on Wednesday. The women will play first at 5:00 PM with the men to follow.

Mount Marty Volleyball were defeated by #11 ranked Midland on Saturday, 3-1 inside Cimpl Arena.

The Lancers were led by 9 kills from Annabella Suljuzovic (Sol-yoo-zoh-vich). Jaya Wachholtz followed with 7 kills.

Mount Marty will travel to Doane, Nebraska, on Wednesday for their next GPAC match against the Doane Tigers.

Four Northeast Nebraska teams are ranked in the latest Nebraska Preps Football Coaches Polls, entering the final week of the regular season.

Cedar Catholic holds the highest ranking at #2 in Class C2. The Trojans are 8-0 on the year, following their 33-7 win over Plainview/Osmond.

Crofton (5th) andHartington-Newcastle (8th) are both ranked in Class D1 after their head-to-head matchup last week, with Crofton securing a 62-13 win.

Wynot rounds out the area teams, picked as the #7 team in Class D3. The Blue Devils defeated Boyd County last Friday, 48-20.

Yankton Gazelles Volleyball will host Beresford tonight in their penultimate home match of the regular season.

The Gazelles are 9-8 on the season following their 3-1 win over Mitchell last week. Yankton is ranked 10th in Class AA.

First serve is scheduled for 6:30 PM tonight. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:00 with Brayden Butler on the call.

The South Dakota Coyotes picked up their third straight win on Saturday, defeating Murray State 48-20.

The Coyotes were led by 4 total touchdowns from Quarterback Austyn Modrzewski (Muh-jess-key), three through the air and another on the ground.

The Coyotes return home this Saturday to host North Dakota. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM from the DakotaDome.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits fell to North Dakota on Saturday, 21-10 in Grand Forks.

The Jackrabbits were held under 200 yards rushing for just the second time this season, and the first in an FCS game. SDSU is 0-2 in such games.

SDSU returns home this week to host the Murray State Racers. Kickoff from Brookings is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers dropped their second straight game on Saturday, losing to Oregon 17-14 in Eugene.

The Huskers were held to 78 rushing yards as a team. Quarterback Anthony Colandrea posted a pair of scores, one rushing and one passing in the loss.

Nebraska will have a bye week this week, before they host Washington on Halloween in Lincoln.
