Liam Gallagher has spoken out about his former clothing label Pretty Green, saying in a recent exchange on X that he did not choose to sell the company. Responding to a fan, the Oasis singer claimed the brand was stolen from him by people he described as vultures.
His comments came as fans questioned what happened to the menswear company he founded in 2009. Pretty Green, named after a song by The Jam, was created around Gallagher’s interest in British music and street fashion and quickly became closely associated with his personal style.
The company entered administration in 2019 after facing financial pressure, including difficulties linked to the collapse of retailer House of Fraser. JD Sports later acquired the business, and Pretty Green eventually became part of Frasers Group through a wider retail deal.
Gallagher has previously said he has not been involved with the label for years. His latest comments make clear that he remains unhappy about how his relationship with the brand ended.
