Volbeat announces new album, “Rewind, Replay, Rebound”; listen to single “Leviathan” now

Credit: Ross HalfinVolbeat‘s next album has an official title and release date. The seventh studio effort from the Danish rockers is called Rewind, Replay, Rebound, and is due out August 2.

“The whole point for us going into the studio, is because you still have something to prove — not just for the fans, but mostly for yourself,” frontman Michael Poulsen says of the new record.

“We would not be able to do this record if it wasn’t for the work we have done in the past,” he adds. “No matter how old the band gets or how many records we do, there is always going to be that signature sound.”

Along with the album announcement, Volbeat has dropped a new single called “Leviathan,” which is available now for digital download. The record also includes the previously released 37-second tune “Parasite.”

Rewind, Replay, Rebound is the follow-up to 2016’s Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie.

Volbeat will be on the road this summer as part of Slipknot’s Knotfest Roadshow tour, which kicks off July 26 in Mountain View, California.
