Deftones, Pixies playing Cure-curated Pasadena Daydream Festival

ABC/Randy HolmesDeftones and Pixies will play the inaugural Pasadena Daydream Festival, a new one-day event headlined and curated by The Cure.

Pasadena Daydream follows last year’s Cure-curated Meltdown festival in London, which also featured Deftones.

“We wanted to create something with a similar celebratory vibe for this summer,” Cure frontman Robert Smith says.

Pasadena Daydream takes place August 31 outside the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Other artists on the bill include Mogwai, Throwing Muses, The Joy Formidable, Chelsea Wolfe and The Twilight Sad.
