Prospect Park Five Finger Death Punch‘s cover of Kenny Wayne Shepherd‘s 1997 blues rock hit “Blue on Black” now has some extra star power.
The Las Vegas metallers have shared a new version of the track, featuring guitar heroics from Queen legend Brian May, as well as guest vocals from country star Brantley Gilbert and Shepherd himself. You can download it now via digital outlets.
May, Gilbert and Shepherd also appear in a new video for “Blue on Black,” featuring footage of firefighters, police officers and other first responders. Proceeds from the collaborative cover will be donated to the Gary Sinise Foundation in support of veterans, first responders and their families.
Sinise, who played Lieutenant Dan in the movie Forrest Gump, is a major supporter of veterans organizations.
FFDP’s original cover of “Blue on Black” appears on their latest album, 2018’s And Justice for None.
