ABC/Paula LoboWe now have our first preview of Blink-182‘s next album. Well, sort of.
Producer John Feldmann, who’s working with the punk trio on their follow-up to 2016’s California, has shared a video on Instagram of Travis Barker recording a drum track for the album.
“Can’t wait for the world to hear the new @blink182,” Feldmann writes in the caption. “Here’s a taste with @travisbarker.”
Presumably, Barker is drumming on one of the 40 tracks Blink recorded for the album. The drummer recently told Hollywire that the band plans to narrow those 40 songs down to 10 or 12 tunes for the final album.
As for when we’ll get to hear the finished product of what Barker and company are working on, new music is expected to arrive before Blink-182 plays the 25th anniversary Warped Tour concert this June in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Meanwhile, you can hear bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus with his new project Simple Creatures, which also features All Time Low‘s Alex Gaskarth. The duo’s debut EP, Strange Love, is out today.
