Releases by pre-Pearl Jam band Green River being reissued

Sub Pop RecordsTwo releases by early grunge band Green River — which featured future members of Pearl Jam and Mudhoney — are being reissued.

The iconic Seattle record label Sub Pop will release deluxe editions of Green River’s 1987 EP Dry as a Bone and 1988 album Rehab Doll on January 25.

Rehab Doll was Green River’s only full-length album, and the band had split by the time it was released in 1988. Members Mark Arm and Steve Turner went on to create Mudhoney, while Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard would join Mother Love Bone, then Temple of the Dog, and, finally, Pearl Jam.

Since breaking up, the members of Green River have reunited for a few one-off shows, most recently in 2009. This past August, Arm and Turner took the stage with Pearl Jam during a show in Seattle.
