Retired no more: Motley Crue recording four new songs

Credit: Paul BrownMotley Crue‘s retirement has apparently come to an end. The classic metallers, who called it quits after a farewell tour in 2015, are officially working on new music. Vocalist Vince Neil confirmed the news in a tweet Thursday.

“Exciting news!” Neil wrote. “I’ll be going back in recording studio in a few weeks with the boys to record [four] brand new Motley Crue tracks! Rock On!”

Neil’s announcement comes a few weeks after the Crue posted a photo of bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee in the studio together with producer Bob Rock, who worked on the band’s 1989 album Dr. Feelgood.

As to the reason for the new music, fans are speculating that it could be for the upcoming Motley Crue biopic The Dirt, which is coming to Netflix in the future.
